Remapping FAQs
Is remapping safe?
A professionally developed calibration should operate within appropriate limits for the vehicle. Vehicle condition is important, which is why we carry out checks before tuning and won't knowingly remap a vehicle with an underlying problem that should be repaired first.
Will I actually notice the difference?
In most suitable turbocharged vehicles, yes. Peak power figures tell only part of the story. Increased torque and improved response through the normal driving range are often what customers notice most.
Can you remap diesel and petrol vehicles?
Yes. We offer remapping for a wide range of turbocharged petrol and diesel cars, vans and other vehicles.
Do you only tune Mustangs and American cars?
No. Modurstang remains an American car and Mustang specialist, but our ECU remapping and Vehicle Optimisation services are available for all makes and models.
Can you tune modified vehicles?
Yes, although the correct approach depends on the vehicle and modifications. For suitable applications we can offer custom calibration using HP Tuners rather than a conventional remap.
How much power will my vehicle gain?
It depends entirely on the engine and vehicle. Send us your registration or vehicle details and we can check the available options and expected performance figures.
